Feedbin has been great, and I see now why the people I thought were well-read use RSS feeds and readers. But I’ve run into some challenges:
- RSS feeds have too much content. It’s overwhelming.
- I can star good content in Feedbin, but not content it links to. Feels limiting.
- I’m not sure how to engage with content in Feedbin. Do other RSS readers let you take notes? Maybe Feedbin does, and I’m just missing it.
The overload of content is the most interesting challenge so far. How do you solve this? I’d love to add the NYTimes RSS feed, but it’s just too much. What I really want is curation, a way to cut through the noise.
Two ideas:
- A service that lets you curate your RSS feed. Something like a ChatGPT prompt + your RSS feed = a cleaner, more relevant feed.
- A way to share what you’re reading as an RSS feed. Like a personal playlist for the web. Follow what I find interesting.
Anyone else feeling this pain? Do solutions like this exist?
